The flight went almost perfectly. Zero maintenance issues and every leg was within 90 minutes of the original schedule. Only change to versus the original schedule was one fuel stop (VVCR instead of RPLL due to typhoon over the Philippines). No scary stories at all…a fairly routine flight in retrospect.
Details: : If you can afford it, use a top-notch international flight planning company (Universal, ARINC, Jeppesen) for all permits and coordination of ground handling. We had zero foul-ups with regard to permits and ground handling over the whole flight. But, they are expensive.
