Through the years, we have seen too many Earthounders' Sites disapearing from the Net, either because the Webmasters/Pilots did not want to continue paying for a Domain Name and for the monthly hosting fees; or because they did not want to maintain their Site; or having completed a second RTW, they did not want to keep two Sites. Whatever the reason for those Sites leaving the Net, it is a loss to us all.
During the Brasilia Round Tables it was proposed that an "Archive" be created to preserve those "orphaned" Sites. After negotiating with our Hosting Server (Classic-IT), we got a very good deal in which any of those "orphaned" Sites could be "archived" forever within the Earthrounders Site for a one-off fee of US$200. Forever, of course, means "as long as the Earthrounders Site is up and running".
Payment can be made directly to "Message of the Week" (Classic-IT) via PayPal:
It should be noted that this "Archive" is not the usual Hosting Service where the Webmaster/Pilot can update and modify the Site, and where monthly fees are to be paid. This is an Archive, similar to a National Library where books are deposited. Normal hosting service is readily available and is different, as a fee has to be paid every month.
Please contact the Webmaster if you are interested.
