General remarks about your flight:
Highly recommend the use of world wide flight planning and trip coordinator for hotels, etc. Air Journey did a superb job for us at a reasonable cost. Stay away from Egypt until the political situation improves.

Advice to other pilots:
Carry a portable GPS navigation unit as a third back-up the AERA 796 works in the most adverse conditions. I pads also provide valuable plates and navigation tracking but require additional GPS such as the Dual electronics Corp Model XGPS 150 GPS receiver to boost the Gps signal to the Apple I pad via bluetooth. Be ready for constant changes of filed and approved plans at departure by ATC. During the summer months temperatures in the Middle East will reach 50C and there are almost no airports with APU for starting. Therefore, have new batteries and be ready for battery starts in almost all of the airports.
